Electronic Contract Signing Guide

Atlas Legal uses the WIDSIGN electronic contract service for secure and convenient document signing. You can sign contracts through a link sent via KakaoTalk, text message, or email — no app installation required.

Choose How to Receive the Signing Request

Please let your attorney know which of the following three methods you prefer. We will send the signing request accordingly.

KakaoTalk Notification

Atlas Legal will send a KakaoTalk notification directly to your mobile number. Simply tap the [Sign Document] button in the notification to begin signing.

Verification: Name + Mobile NumberDelivery: KakaoTalk

URL Link

You will receive a signing URL link via text message or KakaoTalk chat. After clicking the link, you will need to enter your name and mobile number for verification.

Verification: Self-enter Name + MobileDelivery: Text / KakaoTalk

A signing request will be sent to your registered email address. Click the link in the email to proceed, and verify your identity using a certified digital certificate or equivalent.

Step-by-Step Signing Procedure

The following guide is based on Method 1 (KakaoTalk Notification). The signing screens are the same regardless of the delivery method.

Receive Notification & Tap "Sign Document"

You will receive a WIDSIGN notification via KakaoTalk. Please verify the following information:

Sender — Atlas Legal

Sender Email — info@atlaw.kr

Document Name — The name of your contract document

After confirming, tap the [Sign Document] button at the bottom.

Identity Verification

This step verifies your identity for document security.

Enter the mobile phone number that received the document, then tap [Confirm].

Verification differs by delivery method
Method 1 — Enter mobile number
Method 2 — Enter name + mobile number
Method 3 — Digital certificate

Enter Password

If the document is password-protected, enter the password provided separately by your attorney.

After entering the password, tap [Confirm] to proceed.

Consent to Electronic Contract

Review the consent terms for electronic contract creation.

This confirms that the signature and content are your own, and that you agree to the legal validity of the online contract.

After reviewing, tap [Yes, I Agree].

Review Contract & Enter Information

Review the contract, then fill in the required fields in order.

Name — Your full legal name

Contact — Mobile phone number

Address — Your address

Additional fields may appear depending on the document.

Once all fields are completed, the [Complete Signing] button in the upper right will become active.

Fields with a red border have not yet been filled in. All fields must be completed before you can finalize the signing.

Complete Signing

Once all fields are filled in, tap [Complete Signing]. A final confirmation popup will appear.

Signing cannot be modified or cancelled after completion.
Please double-check all entered information before tapping [Confirm].

Signing is complete!
Atlas Legal will review and guide you through the next steps. A signed copy of the contract will be provided separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Is an electronic signature legally valid?

A. Yes. Under the Electronic Signatures Act of Korea, electronic signatures are legally recognized. WIDSIGN records identity verification, consent, and timestamps to ensure the authenticity of each signature.

Q2. Can I make changes after completing the signing?

A. No. Once signing is complete, modifications or cancellations are not possible. If changes are needed, please contact your attorney and a new signing request will be sent.

Q3. I didn’t receive the KakaoTalk notification.

A. Please check your KakaoTalk notification settings. If the notification has not arrived, contact your attorney and we will resend via URL link or email.

Q4. I don’t know the password.

A. The password is provided separately by your attorney. If you have not received it or have lost it, please call +82-32-864-8300.

Q5. Is there an expiration date on the signing link?

A. Some documents may have a deadline set. Please complete the signing as soon as possible after receiving the request. If the deadline has passed, contact your attorney.
